Портрет (произошло от фр. слова portrait) - это художественное изображение человека с передачей его внутреннего мира. Отсюда возникает такая разная передача формы и содержания позирующих людей на холст.

Его уважали и любили за твердое стояние в вере, за то, что не "сломался" в 1920-30-е гг.; за то, что всегда помнил о своем пастырском назначении и притекал к пастве открыто в храм или в условиях катакомбной конспиративности в молельный дом; за то, что при новой, гитлеровской власти не стал служить миру сему и его страстям, из которых одна — политика — более всего могла одолеть сердце обиженного, затравленного, униженного священника; за то, что "смоковница" (душа) о. Адриана не высохла, а дала многоплодие, а именно: истовое служение в киевских храмах, проповедничество, забота о старых, больных и беженцах, наконец, воспитанные и подготовленные старцами дары рассуждения духовности и мудрости.

Серия работ “The New Yorkers” написана в 2018-2019 гг. и является продолжением творческого пути автора в портретировании. Вдохновением для создания картин послужили встречи с жителями города Нью-Йорка, их яркие характеры и личности. В результаты ряда студийных постановок и бытовых зарисовок были написаны несколько работ, в том числе и представленные на выставке “Lady in Red”, “Gladiator” и “American Woman”.

При создании картин серия “The New Yorkers”в образах моделей я видела не просто людей, но и объединяющий их стиль жизнь, продиктованный бурным ритмом мегаполиса. Отсюда родилась такая компоновка ярких цветовых форм без сложных портретных приемов. Диагональное расположение фигур ставит во главу зрительского внимания самовыражение портретируемых - их индивидуальные жесты и манеры.
P. S. У студийных постановок есть большой недостаток - это отсутствие интерьера. Однако он же помогает сконцентрироваться на цвете модели, не отвлекаясь на посторонние предметы.

Пиросмани был примитивистом. Из тех художников, про которых люди, далекие от искусства и его понимания, говорят «Да я бы сам не хуже нарисовал». Но только слепой может не увидеть всю пронзительность живописи грузинского художника.
За кажущейся наивностью нарисованных на клеенке животных и праздничных застолий скрыты глубокие чувства, боль сквозь радость и радость сквозь боль. И все это становится более чем очевидно, если знать хоть немного о жизни Нико Пиросмани. Серия работ посвящена таланту и внутренней силе художника-самоучки из маленькой грузинской деревни.

Культура - Тбилисская. Так что же это за народ такой Тбилисцы? Тбилисцы - это урожденные города Тбилиси. Пусть простят меня уроженцы Грузии, но рожденные в Тбилиси отличаются всем: манерами, слогом, осанкой. Тбилисец способен грустить с Вами в час печали и радоваться в Вашей радости!

Нико Пиросмани — честный и нищий художник, писавший пронзительные шедевры на дешевой клеенке за еду. Счастье — это было не то, для чего оказался рожден Нико Пиросмани. Он умер от голода и холода в полнейшей нищете в мае 1918 года. После того как сухой закон прикрыл почти все духаны Тбилиси, и ему нечем стало зарабатывать на жизнь. Пиросмани было 56 лет. Ему и раньше приходилось трудно, но так, как в то время — никогда. Ранее гордый и самолюбивый, теперь он был готов на все. Он соглашался съесть тарелку супа и кусок хлеба, которые давали ему из милости.
Niko Pirosmani (Georgian: ნიკო ფიროსმანი), simply referred to as Nikala

How to survive a Georgian feast? Good question to ask. I had only heard stories about the famous Georgian supra – the traditional feast offered spontaneously to only the luckiest of visitors. This painting is Inspired by love for Georgian food and obsession with primitive painting style like-wise Niko Pirosmani had. The technique used for this work is quite unusual but it is my favourite one. Each square is performed with a approximately 1/2 oz of oil paint to create the texture and the relief of the painting.

Lagidze water (Georgian: ლაღიძის წყალი) is a popular Georgian soft drink based on soda and a variety of natural syrups. It has been traditionally mixed in a glass from a soda fountain, but it is also available as a bottled soft drink in a range of flavours. Some American food writers liken it to egg cream, but the authentic Georgian drink includes neither milk nor chocolate syrup.
This painting is Inspired by love for Georgian food and obsession with primitive painting style like-wise Niko Pirosmani had. The technique used for this work is quite unusual but it is my favourite one. The canvas base was created by strokes of the palette knife with plaster.

Характерная модель поведения кинто — весёлость, энергичность, шустрость, пронырливость, некоторая фамильярность, способность на мелкое плутовство — стала образной, и кинто начали называть людей, ведущих весёлый, праздный образ жизни.

Discovered those beauties at the Catskill local farm located in Upstate NY. There were staring at us while we were taking pictures. At some point I noticed that cows actually were posing. So now you see them looking at you from the canvas.

ALEXANDER VERTINSKY
Alexander Nikolayevich Vertinsky was a Russian and Soviet artist, poet, singer, composer.
By 1916, Vertinsky started to employ a scenic figure of Pierrot, with powdered face, singing miniature novellas-in-song known as ariettas, or "Pierrot's doleful ditties". Each song contained a prologue, exposition, culmination, and a tragic finale. The novice performer was christened the "Russian Pierrot", gained renown, became an object of imitation, admiration, vilified in the press and lionized by the audiences.

United States president Barack Obama took Russian president Dmitry Medvedev to Ray's Hell Burger in June 2010. President Obama also ate at the restaurant with Vice President Joe Biden in May 2009. That first visit caused such an increase in business that it forced Landrum to expand the restaurant at an adjacent location.
